New Creation in Connie's kitchen

Moving means cleaning your refrigerator and cupboards of so many "food stuff". Doing that I've just created a delicious recipe that I would like to share with you. Hope you try it and let me know the results in your kitchen! We had it on brown bread, but feel free to try it with rice, couscous or mashed potatoes...

Lamb with Sundried Tomatoes by Connie Richter

Fry 10 medium sized whole garlics in plenty of olive oil. Add roughly sliced onions and fry until they are golden brown. Add 350gr of lamb, and fry well. Add 2 tablespoons of mixed herb spices, 1 stick of fresh rosemary (remove the spikes from the steam) and mix, frying the whole mixture further. When the lamb is well fried, add 1 large red pepper cut in large cubes and half cup of parsley. Add 1 small box of coconut milk and 1 cup of sundried tomatoes ( I did not soak mine). I did not add any salt because of the sundried tomatoes. Add 3 medium carrots thickly sliced, and cook until the lamb is tender, adding water when necessary.

Rescue Mission II

When I went downstairs at around 1015pm I heard a puppy crying, but cryyyyyyyyyinggggggggggg. Then I went outside and whistled, as they know me. He cried more and louder. I finally got closer to the spot he was crying, called my super King, and he came down. The same puppy we rescued the other day from the rain, the one which hurt his little leg, had fallen in a 1.5mt water tank. My King broke the lock of the house in front of the lake and there we went on rescue mission II. The water was not too deep, but he was soaking wet the poor little lolypop. Then I ran upstairs and got a chair. My King and 3 guys who stopped to help put the chair inside the tank, and my King went down to get him. He is safe now, next to his mom. We gave him milk, but he is paralised hahahaha so wet and traumatized... Such a hard life of a street dog....

Bomb blasts in Bangalore

Thank God we spent the day very quiet at home because we often go to the areas of the blasts! Thank you my God for the protection, and we pray the victims of these terrible acts recover soon. The best source I've found so far is Zee News (http://www.zeenews.com/articles.asp?aid=457863&sid=NAT). We are in the southern part of the city, very near Madiwala, Koramaganla, and Hosur Road is just up the road. Maybe we will just go from home straight to the airport next week hehe

SEVEN LOW INTENSITY BLASTS ROCK BANGALORE
Zeenews Bureau Bangalore, July 25: Terror hit Bangalore Friday afternoon as seven low intensity blasts ripped through different parts of the IT city. The explosions took place within a span of half an hour, starting at 1:45 pm. The sites that were targetted were Madiwala, Adugodi area, Koramangla, Hosur Road, Nayandahalli and Shivaji Nagar on Mysore Road and Langford Town. Helpline No: 080-40312706 All the sites are located in the southern part of the city, with some hosting several upmarket malls. These are fairly congested with Madiwala being one of the biggest markets of the city. The blast here took place at the bus stand. The strech from Brigade Road to the Hosur Road National Highway leading to Chennai bore the brunt in today's attack. Speaking to the media, Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri said that one woman was killed in Madiwala, while there have been injuries in the other blasts. All the wounded have been rushed to nearby hospitals for medical aid. Some have been admitted to St John’s and Mallya hospitals. Elaborating on the modus operandi, the Police Commissioner said that crude bombs with timer devices were used. Iron bolts had been fixed to them and each explosion had the intensity of 1-2 hand grenades. The blasts are thought to be of low-intensity using gelatin sticks. One blast took place near tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi’s house. However, barring shattering some window panes, there was no other major damage. Forensic experts and bomb disposal squads have reached the targetted sites. The authorities have cordoned off the entire locality and sniffer dogs are being used for further clues. Mobile networks in certain areas have jammed and major artery roads have clogged due people rushing back home. Bidri said that the incident looked pre-planned. He also appealed to Bangaloreans not to panic as the situation was fully under control now. The pattern and intensity of blasts indicate the explosions were meant to cause panic rather than claim casualties.
