Rain

The rain in Bangalore is beautiful. It reminds me of Joinville… When it comes, it comes !!!!!!!!! But it gives you a warning, the sky gets black, the wind starts blowing, and in a few minutes it is all wet. You also see the neighbours running to collect their clothes hanging outside. The lake looks so wonderful now, I feel like swimming in it (not advised hehe). There are many tall tress in front of our house, it blocks the view of the lake a little, but it also gives us real paitings to look at. The trees look much more alive after the rain, it’s like they are smiling at us. Hunter sleeps quietly, he hates cleaning…

Religious ignorance :)

Every day I see my neighbour leaving her house with a plate full of flowers and incense burning, then she looks at the lake, closes her eyes, says something, and puts a flower by the entrance door. What does she say ?? Probably she asks the Gods to give her protection and abundance on that day. But I wish I knew more... They call the act of offering and praying PUJA, and the yellow flowers are used for puja, while the jasmin you can give as a gift and use on your hair. In every store you enter there is incense burning and flowers in an altar. It smeels really good, and it feels very peaceful. I ve been meaning to join yoga classes, but things are still a little disorganized. Fridays are my day off but I have the house cleaning to do, as I haven't yet found a maid (it sucks), on the other hand, I ve lost weight which does not sucks.
On Sunday I ll buy many flowers in front of the temple nearby. Hans arrives on Monday and we are making his room very pretty. We put up a white mosquito net the other night. My King is so talented, I sat there looking at him making knots to hold the net structure. He said it looked like a 1920s movie. It looks very rustic the way I like it.
High Holiness the King is soooooooooooooooooo excited now with his inventions in the workshop, he's been working with aluminum, plastic, leather, has just designed a new knee joint and is studying very hard. I bet WHO and Red Cross will be soon fighting for his expertise hahaha We watched a few movies about Prosthesis centers around the world, mainly in developing countries, Myanmar, Africa, Southeast Asia... Prosthesis is a non ending job as they have to be changed every 3,4 or 5 years. Marc says it is like a shoe shop hehe
It is a pity though developed countries still manufacture mines. So many limbs blown, so many kids having their play time years spent in hospitals and prosthetic centers. The power of money, the power of hypocrisy. While manufacturing mines they also donate millions of dollars every year for NGOs which take care of these patients.
Well, here comes the cow, which I thought was a donkey hehe These young kids dress up a cow with colourful cloths and play a trumpet asking for money. Marc says it is called musical extortion hahaha I am more romantic and love listening to them !!
A whole house to clean... a whole book to write... a whole course to organize.... A whole life to live...

What is EFT?

In simplest terms - an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points whilst "tuned in" to the problem. We are still learning why EFT (and its many cousins) work so well. The existing theory is that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. Consequently, our use for emotional and spiritual healing was sparse at best.

With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the cause of emotional upsets. EFT generates results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods. Check case histories on www.emofree.com for inspiration.

Further, EFT often relieves a wide range of physical symptoms. This, too, is abundantly clear in case histories on the site above. EFT provides unmistakable evidence of the link between our physical ailments and our emotional issues.

EFT is a Doorway to the new Healing High-Rise. There are thousands of practitioners using EFT throughout the world.

Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there; results are remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. That’s why many doctors are now recommending it…. It often works where nothing else will.

And we conduct trainings for your college, sports club, ladies group etc.

Hunter’s Birthday !!

Fat Gorgeous Baby Hunter

Happy Hunterday Bunter !! May you eat as much in your 14s as you have eaten in your 13s. That’s what really matters in a dog’s life you know.

I have soooo much to tell you that it is difficult to start hehe I thought I would start telling you what our last 3 days have been like.

Friday: Get up first time at 5am with the Mosque screaming, second call comes at 6am when Hunter is ready to go down, eat, pee, play. Put hunter in our bed so he stops crying. At 715am sharp the street vendors start their rounds and then we just decide it is time to keep moving. Before going down 2 floors, make decisions on what we really need to take with us – lap top, wallet, money, shoes, clothes, get the dirty clothes down (the laundry room in 2 floors away from the bedroom). Breakfast, wash the dishes, at 915am go to the main road to get a rickshaw. Negotiate the price – go to Richmond Road, HSBC, meet the friends, deposit the insurance check, where can we exchange money? Brigade Road, cross the street, get another rickshaw, stop stop, it is here, quick look at crafts, Thomas Cook moved to Pavillion Mall, walk, guy follows us, we have a better rate, check the rate at Thomas Cook, find a Latin Restaurant with Salsa, every Friday ebaaaaaaaaa, exchange the money, cross the road, get another rickshaw, go to Citibank building, deposit rent at ICIC bank, I have a meeting with the maid at 12, hungry, let’s go to Woody’s near Mobility India, food, quick I have a meeting with the maid. Marc goes to class. I stop at the Big Bazzar, get curtains for Hans’ bedroom, which colour? Which colour? blue, run home, 115pm, miss the meeting with the maid, bring neighbours home to show the house, show the curtains, neighbours leave, iron iron iron. Marc comes home at 530 pm, rests, I work, clean here, there, and every where – still looking for a maid. At 7pm decide to grab a quick McDonald’s at Forum Mall, go to the main road, negotiate the price, 30 rupees, no 25, 0k 25 let’s go - maybe just get some Indian Food around the block, NO, Indian food for lunch and dinner no, be persistent., Forum Mall is not far, we walked there one day, it took us about an hour. Get a main busy road, rush hour, heavy traffic, people going home, motorcycles, 5 , 8, 10 at once, buffalos, cars, noise, orange and purple saris, bananas, shops, people eating in small stalls, rickshaw driver tries to go faster, impossible, road is blocked, pillows for sale, mattress, loads of other rickshaws, all full, every body horns the honk, it is law, trucks, small trucks, cows, dogs, kids playing on the sidewalk. It s been 25 minutes, where is Forum Mall ???? Close. Drive more, further, maybe he is going to a different Forum Mall, relax, we will eat any way, hungry, where is McDonald’s ? Wasn’t it supposed to be a quick bite, and back home to relax ? No Forum Mall, different roads, we can always learn a new Forum Mall. There, I see it !!! Forum Mall, pay the rickshaw, cross two roads, pretend you are a buffalo, go slow, pray that they see you crossing the road, look at McDonalds sign, hopes, cross the road and you are there – ufffffffff we made it, no beef at McDonalds, ok ok fish filet, not bad. Find a pub, a new restaurant, a big department store, Forum mall is nice, wow manicure, pedicure, it could be New York or Dubai, Go shopping for food, line, change money, we never have small money for the rickshaw, get another rickshaw, go home, put food away, feed hunter, take a shower, go to bed at eleven, 5:45 m left to sleep…

Saturday: We bit the Mosque today, up at 4:45am, take a shower, have coffee, gather jumper, mosquito repellent, food, water, wallet, mobile, go to the main road, pray that a rickshaw stops for us, 15 minutes waiting and walking, look! there ! on the other side of the street, he stopped, I ll go there, ok, yes !! yes !!! come ! Get to Mobility India, many students already outside waiting for the buses to take 100 of us to the pic nic. 730am, little late but here we go. Stop at 845am at I don’t know where to have breakfast, bread, bananas, cheese, happy street dogs, clean the garbage, let’s go, 11am arrive at the site, river is too high, do not swim – invisible crocodiles hahahaha set the tent, start cooking lunch, Indian music, monkeys in a temple, more street dogs, butterflies, green green green , rafting type of river at I don’t know where, go for a walk, find a nice stick to walk Hunter in our neighbourhood, people swimming, Connie recording, Marc taking pictures, food stalls, fresh masala fish, bananas, round boats, ants, mosquitoes, crows, cows, coconut trees, birds singing, 330pm, lunch is served, wowwwwwwwwww chicken, rice, cauliflower, potatoes with paneer, salad, eat, try to take a nap, river is getting higher, move, watch monkeys, everybody in the water now, can we go home? Hunter is alone… more swimming, dancing, here comes the rain, tea at coconut restaurant, coke, 630pm everybody on the buses, ufff going home poor doggie… pin number 1, everybody gets off the bus, bus made it, pin number 2, no problems, pin number 3 wonderful, way to go, end of pins, flat road, and opsss an accident, jeep upside down, all run, they were taken to the hospital, they are our people, how said, such a happy day, pictures for insurance, remove valuables from the jeep, all to the next town to check them at the hospital, another 2 hours, no phone signal, Hunter is alone, where are the cookies ? They are all out of danger, great, such nice people, one bus is going, the other is staying. Can we go? Our dog is alone at home. Sure – here we go, another 2 hours, Bangalore 15 Km, it might be a mirage, driver stops the bus, buys tea, rests, he is tired, so am I. 15 km. We recognize the road, we arrived - at Mobility India. Another rickshaw, get home at almost 11pm. Hunter poohed on the stairs, why so artsy says Marc. I find my baby sound asleep on the top of the dirty clothes on the 3rd floor. Hungry, go outside, eat cookies, chocolate milk, bed……………….

Sunday: Today we are going to play turtles, breakfast, beauty moment, feed Hunter, wash dishes, physical therapy, twice a day, go to the main road to get a rickshaw, drive for 30 minutes to find the meat place, find it, buy meat, buy vegetables, buy dog food, get a rickshaw, come back home, we are going to play turtles today and do nothing, start cooking, marinate the pork, make potato salad, rice, cut green beans, beetroot, cook the corn, fry the meat, prepare the roast beef, how can we fix the bacon around the meat ? toothpicks, we have none, I need lemon, please peel the garlic, go to the store, feed Hunter, set the table, Marc takes a nap, I work more, it never ends, lunch is ready, eat, the only thing missing is to wash the dishes again, and fry the roast beef. 530pm - Marc: WEREN’T WE GOING TO PLAY TURTLES TODAY???? Yes yes, in a second, fry the meat, finish the dishes, get the water, the coke, the stabilizer, and walk 3 floors up, and finally… playing turtles… Marc sleeps and I type the news for our blog…..

25 (7) - 07 - 07 - Bangalore - India

Among all the places I have visited in the past 15 years, two have captured my heart and soul. One of them is India. I feel home here, and our arrival in Bangalore was easy and funny. To begin with Hunter, as soon as he got out of the cage, peed in a straight long line in the main entrance of the airport hahaha Poor guy was so thirsty and in such a hurry !!

Our home is lovely !!! 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plenty of windows, locks and mosquito screens hahaha I am still cleaning it as it had been closed for the past 2 years. Hunter does not like the stairs so we only bring him up at night, after all the guy will be 82 years old soon... :)

Flowers !! Oh so many flowers, on the hair of the ladies, in the front of the rickshaws, in the front door of homes. We had flowers in our bed the other day, jasmins... so peaceful and calming.

Mobility India staff has been amazingly friendly and helpful. After several documents, signed letters, and trips to the police we have finally gotten our registration yesterday. We also have mobile phones and soon internet at home.

Things here are cheap, but if you don't pay attention you spend lots of money quickly. A ride from home to school is less than a dollar, but a few candles from lifestyle a small fortune hehehe Needed stuff There are lots of Malls and very nice stuff for sale. The supermarkets are not Carrefour style, but we find basically every thing we need.

The food is excellent, and I have eaten out several times already. My favorite place so far is Woody's, a big restaurant near the school. Most of the places here are vegetarian, which is fine with me, but a suffering for Marc. When he eats meat he melts hahaha

Sami, I always remember you !! We live near the lake in BTM Layout 2nd Phase. Maybe it wasn t even here when you were here ??

I ll be teaching English 4.5 hours a week, and working with Marketing and Training the rest of the time ( 3 days a week). I will finish my book, it is a matter of honour hahaha so I have 2 days a week to work on it. Way to go !!

Marc starts coming to class regularly tomorrow. He is very excited about the workshop and tools !!! Lots of tools !!!

The other place ? Jerusalem...
