RICHTER KNEE JOINT©



And we have the pleasure to show you the latest invention of Mr Marc Alan Richter, currently a student of Lower Limb Prosthesis at Mobility India, Bangalore - India. Marc has developed this new joint during his free time.

It is a revolutionary knee joint in that it
  1. takes commonly available orthosis knee joints, and uses them in such a way that it can act as a free prosthetic knee joint,
  2. has an easily modifiable wood core to which the following can be easily attached, cable knee lock, flexion assist or even a piston assembly,
  3. can carry the weight of a very heavy individual,
  4. is a low cost approppriate technology improvement for the amputee with limited funds,
  5. is a time saver for the prosthetist that uses fiberglass lamination techniques,
  6. stays aligned even under harsh conditions.
